Greetings!

Now, if you are an Engineering Student like me, you must be definitely said to learn something new. It is due to the fact that academics will give us an idea of what the field is. Hope I’m right. So, if we want to learn something new, we will either learn it privately or will be searching for online courses. Incase of private workshops, the chances are, you will learn much better. But, in the case of online courses, a lot of people just think on completing the course and to get the certificate and share it in linkedin, so that they will said that they are an expert in that particular domain. Agree? Also, the purpose of giving the certificate is actually to be the direct proof that the person has learnt all of the syllabus, Blah! Blah! Blah!. But these days, the purpose of giving certificates, is completely lost. I have seen many of the people in Linkedin posting that “ I got 100 certificates in just a month”. Did it sound funny? For me , yes it is. From my personal experience, I did Data Science Intern in a company in my city. That was the first time when I was called by a recruiter for a chit-chat. During the conversation, he noticed my speech and actions carefully, but I watched his speech and actions very carefully. He asked about my skills . The chit-chat went around 1 hour. The thing which surprised me a lot is that, in that 1 hour, he didn’t ask about my courses or certificates at all. Recruiters don’t need your certificates. They won’t do anything with your certificates. Any recruiter will definitely expect your skills, because he/she needs a skilled labour to run his/her company. So, what is a good way to improve your skills? By building projects. If you got selected by a company, you will be involved in building a solution to a problem. So, how do you practice to apply your skills in solving these real-time problems? If you are good in coding, open your github and start building a project for any problem statement. Because, the coding we learn is just so basic so that whenever you do a project, you struggle a lot, Hence , you will start to find a solution and eventually the knowledge which you attained through your experience will be solid and it will remain forever. Thank you for reading!
