Hi, I’m Vignesh. I’m a tech blogger from India. I have been writing articles about tech for a long time. Of course, yes everyone wants to get a reward for their work and so am I. I have been curious about increasing my account’s followers count as 100 and I worked a lot for it. I already knew Medium Partner Program isn’t available in India. So I didn’t try much in Medium and instead, I tried to make a Blogspot and make some money with Google Adsense.
Setting up Google Adsense was another big issue for me. Every time I try to fix things in my Blogspot account, It just says we’re setting up. I’ve been getting the same message for several months now and I lost hope in that.
Sometime back, I have seen somewhere in medium mentioning that Medium Partner Program is in beta in India. Having hope on Medium again, I have tried to write even more articles, increased my followers, and finally, I crossed the 100 followers mark. I was so delighted to finally get the reward for my work and I continued filling my application for the Medium Partner Program.
Then, I noticed that Medium is not implementing its Medium Partner Program in India. I really don’t understand what’s the issue here. Stripe now operates in India. So, I really don’t understand what’s the issue with Medium.
It’s really disappointing to face a situation like this. It feels like all of my work is just entirely useless. Of course, I write for my passion. But still, getting paid for work makes you work on it even more. I know this would be a controversial topic. But, I wish Medium understands the needs of thousands of writers in non-eligible countries and expand Medium Partner Program to other countries where stripe can support.
